The Story
Grace Pennington is a hyper-realism artist based in Loudoun County, Virginia.

of her subjects with breathtaking accuracy and detail. Her passion for art stems from her love of nature, and she channels this into every piece she creates.
With over 15 years of experience
in the creative field, she has developed a unique style of light and a naturalist color palette that captures the beauty and essence
Grace established GP Artistry to help collectors connect with the right fine art piece of their own, whether it be a custom heirloom created for their family or a premade work of art that fits their individual style. We understand that purchasing a piece of fine art is a deeply personal decision and that each collector has unique tastes and preferences.
That's why we offer art consultations to guide collectors in their decision-making process. We take the time to get to know our collectors, understand their vision, and recommend pieces that align with their stories and lives. Our custom fine art also gives collectors the opportunity to commission a piece that is tailored to their specific needs and desires. We believe that everyone deserves to have a beautiful and meaningful piece of art in their collection, and we are dedicated to helping our art collectors find that perfect piece.

As an award winning artist, Grace's work has been showcased in the U.S. Capital in Washington D.C. and printed in publications. Her portrait, Godfrey, the Runaway Slave, is on permanent display at the Sully Historic Site in Chantilly, Fairfax County, Virginia (under her maiden name). And she previously operated her studio at the Lorton Arts Foundation in Lorton, Virginia.
Since founding GP Artistry, Grace partnered with her husband, John R. Pennington, to bring a professional photographer's experience to the GP team. This allows us to offer high quality photographs of our artwork, for art reproductions or digital display. John's expertise also provides photography consultations for each project, from lighting, composition, and production, he ensures our collectors have the ideal photograph for their art.
As a mother of four kids under the age of eleven, Grace balances her artistic pursuits among family life with John. Their kids are just as creative, drawing and coloring during their free time. The Pennington family keeps a craft cart in their kitchen, leaving the art supplies as available for the kids as possible, whenever the mood strikes them.
Despite the joys and challenges that come with being a busy mom, Grace remains dedicated to her craft and continues to produce stunning works of art that inspire and captivate her audiences. Whether she is painting a landscape, a portrait, or wildlife, her pieces always reflect her love of nature and the world around her.
Loudoun County is an ideal location for the Penningtons to call home, as it is rich in natural beauty and offers an abundance of inspiration for their work. From the rolling hills and countryside to the quaint small towns, Grace and John find creative enthusiasm near the Shenandoah Mountains. And when not creating, the Pennington family loves travelling, soaking up the sights, and being foodies. They enjoy nature through hiking, camping, and exploring new places.
